Resonator

How much does the stock resonator cut down on sound wise? I was thinking just putting a pipe there, and running 2 thrush turbo mufflers. I had this set up on my 89, and still had the resonator, but there really wasnt any change in sound. On my 5.0, if i were to put a pipe there, and running dual thrush turbos, if i would hear that "rumble". Right now I have no mufflers at all, it gets old after a while.

on my 3.8 i can run it with no muffler and just the resonator and it would be just as quiet. Read my thread a couple threads down...i had bothg the muffler and resonator removed and it sounds great

Thats what im dealing with now (no mufflers) Im getting a pipe put in wednesday, and those turbo mufflers put on, along with the tips. Price is going to be around 100 bucks for everything.

Cool

I had my set up custom made. The resonator was removed, then a custom made Y-pipe was put in its place and then the duel pipes run back the usuall path to a set of Dynomax bullet series glasspacks. I get alot of comments on how good it sounds.
