well is it safe to say that the sounds and set ups of a Lincoln VIII and our 94 and up 4.6 L bird are the same? i heard some nice mar viii and was wondering if that same set up would sound the same on my bird

most people talk, but few are up for the moment

They sound different seeing as they have the 4v

Yep, the DOHC 4.6L definitely has a distinct sound.

They sound somewhat similair. I mean there is a lot bigger difference between say a SOHC 4.6 vs. a Chevy LS1 motor than between a 4v 4.6 and a 2v.

I think the whole car sounds way different. I had a 95 4.6 tbird and now have a 97 MK8 LSC. The engine is way different sounding and almost overpowers the exhaust on the Lincoln. The exhaust I would say is still different though. Maybe it's because mine is a stock true dual setup (LSC ) That is something else to consider. What Mark VIII was it that you heard? If it was a later LSC then it has true duals and no MN12 came with true duals. That would have an effect on the sound for sure.

The LSC that I heard is the one I own. I dunno, they sound similiar to me.
