heres some that will fit but they are kinda pricey http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku if you can find a good high flow thats less than 4 1/2 in. round you should be on the safe side without any scraping.

catco is a pretty decent brand of cat, some may say they suck but overall its a good high-flow cat for the money, if you want to go with magnaflow's cat heres a decent proced one that will work also http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku pretty much just depends on what brand you like better than others. the balls in your court

go w/ the magnaflow. I have a true dual set-up. custom fittings may be nessessary to install but is worth it. (I spent $250 on my custom exaust, cats went out, spent $108 on two magnaflow cats, then $182 to install) F***ING EXPENSIVE, BUT WORTH EVERY PENNY!

How much would a average exhaust shop charge to weld high flow cats and cut off the crapy stock ones??

For your needs, I wouldn't even bother. You need an entire exhaust upgrade to keep up with the breathing capabilities of your AED. A couple of high-flow cats in that otherwise restrictive 2" exhaust system isn't going to make much of a difference.

Only if you like it loud and stinky. If you swap out the stock cats for a set of high flow units, your set up won't flow all that bad as it is. As it is, the difference between high flow cats and no cats at all at this level is probably only about 3-5hp. By "strait pipes in back", I'm assuming you're thinking of deleting the Dynomax mufflers altogether? It will certainly get a lot louder if you do that, but for what your cars making for power, I don't imagine getting rid of your mufflers is going to help a whole lot on anything but the upper RPM.

The drone for daily driving use would drive me nuts personally.

I used to have strait pipes on my last t-bird, i like the loudness. As long as the pipes are past the bumper it shouldnt give me a headache at all. I'm taking the bird to a good exhaust shop next week, ill have some time to think about cats or not. Thanks for your help Brian.

Why does one of them look brand new and the other look like its gotten really hot? Did one of them get crunched and have to be replaced or something?
