Escort Exaust problem

This is for my sisters 2k Escort. Were trying to figure out about how much it would cost to fix. I’m not sure if the damage is near the cat, or if the cat is in the 2nd pic (under the engine). If the damage isn’t at the cat, what is that part on the exhaust? Also anyone have an guesstamate on about how much the repair cost?

Work needed to be done: Heater Core Replaced; Driver Door panel replaced; Right Inner tie rod replaced; Front suspension rotting away; Wire connection to the transmission melted from contact with exhaust.

If it has to do with the cats, most likely it'll cost a good hunk (depending of course), but yea pics no worky still...
