Catco or Magnaflow

Which one? The thing about the Magnaflow is that in the picture one cat is placed after the bend and one before, I dont know why they do that. I'm thinking Magnaflow becuase its Maganflow and because its cheaper.

I have a 1997 Thunderbird with the 4.6 engine.I just sent Summit back the Catco #4593 system because it was really only for 1994 & 95 4.6 models (it was inches off in many directions from ever fitting). For 1996 & 97 Thunderbirds the correct part is #CTO-4152 (they don't have any photos, but it will look vertually the same). If you get the #4152, please post again with the results, as I will then re-order one for myself too. Unless of course, you have fitment problems that don't get resolved. The Catco secret to increased flow is that the third cat is a shell only.
Catco look stock , Magnaflow do not look stock. Both systems can easily be spotted out by one of us T-bird lovers, but not necessarily by a smog inspector.
I really think that the 94-95's have a difference in exhaust manifolds from the 96-97's, so I don't get how Magnaflows fit all four years. Edman-out.

The Magnaflow 3rd appears to be a straight through glasspack muffler from the pictures on the other recent thread on these. I really like the way it looks.

The 4.6 manifolds all appear to be the same, I would imagine they sent you a kit for either the 3.8 or the 5.0 which are close but different mounting flanges.
