Open header??

Hey guys my cats are done but i kinda need to drive my car around for a little till my new cats come in so i was wondering how long is it safe to drive around with open header and no exhaust and no the police isnt a problem

96 LX 3.8

Custom air intake, 9" K&N Cone, ASP underdrive pulleys, True Duals with DI/DO midmounted Magnaflow, ported upper and lower intakes, ported TB...and more to come

haha yeah i figured that, will the car run rough because of the no cats and exhaust, i know it wont be as smooth but will it still go through all the gears and accelerate the same?

you will lose torque most likely, but it wont make it even close to where you can't drive it. bring some advil though.

You'd be better off just gutting the cat in the meantime. Once the pipe is dropped down it only takes about 20 minutes max to get all the honeycomb material out.

When i finished my PI swap i had my car running in my garage with open shorty headers and it sounded MEAN!!! but i probably couldnt drive long with it like that.
