Flowmaster??

Anybody try out or know anything about the Flowmaster dual exit 2.25" cat-back exhaust? I was thinking about getting it put on my '95 T-bird 4.6L...Good deep muscular sound? Good performance gain? Better flow? But I'm most interested in the sound department honestly right now...When I get to headers and cats I'll worry about flow issues.

Any feedback is appreciated...I don't know what the hell to do for my exhaust system

Dont waste your time or money... if you can. go to a shop and have them make you a true dual setup with no cats, i have/had it, its too quiet, not much gain at all performance wise, and sounded like stock just louder.

That's exactly what I was hoping not to hear lol...Well I'm pretty much playing with $400-$500 so I am a little limited...I went to one shop and they were saying that it would run me about $1,000 to get a true dual set up...Does that sound right? Any suggestions for my price range? Thanks.

$1000 sounds a bit high. Mine was $600 2.25" mandrels all the way back (from main cats on the down tube) into 2 flowmasters (rear mounted) and 2 cut outs just after the diff pumpkin. So without the cut outs it would probably be $500 including the mufflers... So $1000 does seem a bit high...

yes the flowmaster cat back sucks a$$ I have it and it was a total waste of time and money no performance gains. like the first reply its just like stock just a lil louder. I just took off the mufflers today and it sounds mean and it feels like more hp gain. I punched it at the stop light and my whole back end started swerving. its gots a real deep sound now.

Dont get it! Mine had the worst drone at about 1800 to 2000 rpm. No performance gains and sounds nowhere near like a Mustang. On my 94 Cat the tips looked odd the way they hung down up under the bumper.

I got about $400 tied up in my custom bent true dual 2.5" exhaust. NO cats, Dynomax Ultra-Flo mufflers, H-pipe, and the tail pipes exit at the corners. It's loud as heck and gets me all kinds of looks.

Had Flowmasters once.....lasted not quite 3 years.....never again will I buy them.
