Question Safe to say there is no performance based headers for a 91-93 5.0L???

Hey guys.

I feel like I have posted this sort of topic before... Through my research I have found there there is pretty much NO alternative to the MN12 5.0L headers out there anymore. The Mac's are apparently garbage, the SCP's are apparently Mac's, the Jba's are no longer in production... yada yada yada.

If anyone has anything to say say it now! LOL. Any headers out there or not? Otherwise I'm keeping the stock headers and will start looking at replacing the entire exhaust from the cats onwards.

Hopfully this will give me 'some' performance gain still??? Can anyone provide insight to that?

...Atleast better sound I'm hoping.

No complaints from my MACs. I hear quality is lesser than the JBAs, however I have not had any problems yet.

Can always look into the longtube project!!

Question Maybe I will consider the Mac's????

Stupidfly...

How long have you had your Mac's for? Did you have them coated at all? Did you have any issues installing them? I've seen pics where the bolt holes didnt even line up properly.

Lemme know...

Had the MACs for 2 years? Something like that. Yes, I sent them to HPC in Chandler AZ for ceramic coating. As far as installation, the only problems I had were related to fat hands in a tiny engine compartment, and related stuff. I didn't have any issues with the bolts lining up.

heres a pic after the coating

hmmm....

Maybe I will consider them then. I guess people post complaints more than praise.

They do look sharp. And are probably the best for a budget.

I'll look into it.

Thanks!

eh, the gears I just got are more fun. But that combined with the exhaust, cobra intake etc have opened it up a bit. Though I'm at the point where I really need to do something to the otherwise stock shortblock if I want to see much more power.

Nice looking headers, anyone know the MAC part number or model application? Nothing in their catalog for MN12 headers.
