headers

does anyone know anything about ss autochrome headers? are these shorty headers a direct bolt on? are they worthwhile? i heard theres good headers and bad.

ss auto chrome is junk. they poorly copied a sh*tty shorty header. The only other headers are Kooks, and they are great. Another option is to port your stock manifolds.

so junk meaning a waste of my time and don't buy them even if i can get a good deal? i saw the kooks for like $450.00. kinda pricey. the ssautochrome are around $100

on the topic of headers.....do u need ot take put engine to put headers on?

most people talk, but few are up for the moment

Installing headers on a 3.8L MN12 doesn't require pulling the engine.

well on my 3.8 i might get shortie headers and a full SCX exhaust with flowmaster muffs.....would doing that create less backpressure and thus losing low end torque?
