does this sound like a good idea?

I don't think ill be getting a cutout so with a little bit of searching it seems like this would be a good idea. I was thinking about putting one of those dynomax bullets in place of the resonator and cutting off the stock mufflers and putting in straight pipes. This seems like a pretty good setup and i don't think it will cost that much. Have any of you guys done this before
