Talking the most irritating rattle in the world fixed

well, i have been chasing a rattle in the exhaust system for awhile now. i fixed the driver side, but still had it on the pass. side. got under it tonight and found a broken weld on the cat. bent it out so it doesnt rattle anymore, and will get on it with a welder either tomorrow or next weekend.

so nice to hear the exhaust again without hearing that damn rattle.

Good job Atleast you could find yours. Mine only vibrates when the car is hot, and at 2000 rpms with 25% load. Makes it really hard to find out which of the 3 cats is doing it.

You think the rattling is your cats? You could get under there and bang on each of them. If they are busted up inside, you'll know real fast. If it's a heat shield or a hanger, you'll just have to visually find it or try to find anything that's loose.

I had a rattle in my exahust not too long ago. When I jacked it up I found that the origional (sp?) O2 sensor after the cat on the passenger side had managed to work it's way loose.

Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, 'It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than to be selfish and worry about my liver.'
Spend your money on your ride and not your girl. It'll last longer and fewer people have been in it!
