Header Instal

I have a 92 Sport, and I bought a set of JBA headers and will be installing them this fall. I'm sure that someone has done this before but when I searched the site I couldn't find any info on the swap. I was wondering if some could atleast tell me how hard this swap is and how involved is it. Also I got a cam and will be installing that after the headers and dual exhaust. I was also wondering how hard that was and what all was needed to do the swap. Any insight would be much appriecated, thanks in advance!

Well i know when i did my headers on my 4.6 Bird it involved me to drop the front K-member and pull it out from underneath the car.It was a headace and it is not worth the trouble for JBA's IMO.They didnt provide any gain what so ever.Might be different for the 5.0

04 PI swap,SVO Supercharger 8-9 psi,Alcohol injection,39lbs Cobra injectors,XCal2-Walbro 255 LPH fuel pump,4.10 T-Lok,2003 4R70W built to withstand by RobertP,450hp JMOD,3800 circleD stall,trucool 4739 Trans Cooler,Dynotech 3.5 Driveshaft,70mm T/B,SCP Cold Air Intake,90mm LMAF,JBA headers,Magnaflow Midmount,No cats with 3inch piping,Vogtland 1.6inch drop,Cobra R's and xenon body kit.

Well, mine were a pain in the *** to install, since I have a 351W and no one makes headers for my application, yours should be more straight forward.

Did you get LT's or shorties?

Nick......................I'm back!!!

I got the shorties. Am I gonna have to take out the motor mounts or do anything to raise the motor. Any word on the cam install?

I have not installed mine yet but looks simple. I am waiting motor mounts so I have not installed yet, so I will not have answer. Plan to do both at the same time. How were the ports on your headers. Mine were terrible. Took me 6 hours with a grinder to clean them up. JBA claimed it is common on Stainless applications. Bulls...! I would think the biggest problem is breaking bolts loose. You will have to modify the dipstick tube bracket. What do you ever do to this car without modifications?
