Depends on what is "low" priced to you. I bet this kit doesnt go below $4,000. You can go with a big ass vortech and make about the same power for that price.

good point, maybe a group buy could influence a reasonable price? Im worried about not having a second custom header to have even exhaust flow among the two manifolds...i dont know if that would affect the turbo, but hey thats just me they have abunch of other cool stuff on their site for birds aswell...

You would be surprised of how well stock manifolds flow. i dont see why it would be a problem, but i really dont know. i guess i better hold on to my set of stock manifolds.

Wife tells me, if i get her a VW bettle(classic) i can go boost....just dont know which way to go...

Pain in the arse that's how.

That's cool tho. I wonder if ground clearance is an issue for lowered cars... Call for pricing? I'm afraid to

I've scraped the bottom of the core support before, as well as the K member for that matter with 1.25" drop lowering springs, I don't think the boxed aluminum tubing would fare well in those kinds of inevitable situations.

I do like the location of the snail though. Complete sleeper status! And yea, the boxed aluminum tubing would be ruined without proper protection from bottoming out incidents.

This company has GOT to be somebody from here or SCCoA. It looks like they do some pretty good custom work.

I didn't notice any sway bar or strut bar applications on their website. That would definitely complete the suspension upgrades they offer.

I like how they boxed up the engine K-member so that it blocks the nut on the back of the rack mounting bolt, lol "Yeah I'm fast, but I can't steer anymore either!" lol

The proper way to do this IMO, is to produce a completely new tubular K-member that will allow proper turbo placement. Those aluminum tubes will be gone in one scrape guaranteed.

There are more pictures on the Facebook TCCoA. One of which showing the ground clearance. From the picture, it looks like you wouldn't be able to fit a normal beer can vertical from the ground to the flat box air tubing. Don't get me wrong, that is a sexy 30th Cougar and the kit is welded together nicely, but there is no way that height clearance would work in normal street conditions. Like I said on the page, a missed speed bump, pot hole or curb and you can be sure that hard work is going to have you turning on the hazards and waiting for tow. Good luck to him and selling his kit, I like his other products for sure. But not the 4.6 turbo kit.

yea that'll never scrape

whoever wants a real turbo kit, come to my house and I'll weld up anything to anything in the right locations. I weld long-arc, short-arc, heli-arc, in-the-dark, no crack to tight, no gap to wide, I'll work weekdays, weekend days, weekend nights, holidays, special days, birthdays, left-handed, right handed, 6in off the floor, up against the wall, in the corner, with or without a mirror, uphill, downhill, side to side, you don't like the way I do it, I'll let you try.

That's way too low for comfort. This thing is going to be a trailer queen for the strip. Nothing else.
