02 placement

should the primary O2's be tapped before the turbines or after them? Im assuming pre-turbine would be optimal.... which ill require extentions.

I dunno about these cars, but the Audi I'm pulling the turbo out of for my buddies Bonnie has the O2 after the turbine.

I've seen the placed both before and after the turbo on O.E. installations but I would think the best place for it would be after the turbo because as sensor measures the left over oxygen from the combustion process the amount of back pressure that is created by the turbo may slightly give a less accurate reading although the same could be said for systems with a highly scavenged exhaust system.

This is what Corky Bell says about it in his book Maximum Boost.

"The oxygen sensor wants to be as close to the combustion chambers as temperaature permits. In most circumstances where a turbo is involved, the oxygen sensor should be immediately aft of the turbo"
