Smile The Old Daily Beater - 88 TC

Thought I would share some pics of the old daily beater. It was a project I built a while back. Found a decent shell to put a good motor in. Mods were as follows:

Gillis Valve: 25 PSI
Bob Log
Small .48 SVO T3
Greddy FMIC with Stinger Piping
Forge Dual Piston BPV (dumped into the atmosphere
K&N Filter on the VAM
Large VAM mod (opened the door wider)
Ported/Knifed Lower/Gutted Upper Intakes
Stinger 3" DP, Exhaust Shop 3" Straight Pipe Dumped @ Axle
Kirban Adjustable FPR
OBX Boost Gauge
Hurst Short Shifter
15" Pony Wheels
Sony Head Unit
Sony Speakers Front/Rear

Wish I still had pics with the FMIC/Bob Log/T3 on it, but I took those off when I sold it. Enjoy! She went 12.8 with the mods above and a fat radial. Cant seem to dig up the time slip though. Lost it in the move to New Jersy

Those old birds looked great on the outside.. The engine choice and it's fussy FI isn't something I would want.

Great looking Bird for sure! Love the body style and color combo.

yeah that 2.3-T had its gremlins for sure. but they were easy to remedy for good. 25 psi with a manifold, ported intakes, and a fmic on that quick spooling t3 would make for a fun surprise to most people on the street, at the track, or anytime i wanted to shut the woman up in the passenger seat! LOL!

'Old daily beater....' ha.
You have a pretty nice looking bird in my opinion
See, that you're originally from Florida. I'm planning to move there from Cali in a few years.

Do I look like someone with a plan? 0_o

The cost of living in comparison to California is less with the exception of expenses such as groceries, and health-care and the difference in that is only marginal. Housing and apartment costs' are significantly cheaper by about 40% per square foot. Another reason is the career that I'm transitioning into as a video/film editor. The top 5 cities/markets are Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Tampa and Miami. LA is too congested and the competition too high as is New York; NY's living expense (5th most expensive) is another reason. Don't know very much about Atlanta. I've been to Miami-Dade around Coral Gables, Little Havana, and the City of Miami and a co-worker from my current job is from Tampa. The top city in Florida for editors is Tampa. However, like LA and NY the competition is extremely high when it comes down to the job market.

All very true. Tampa was my backyard growing up. Grew up in a small town just north of there called Land O' Lakes. Very familiar with Tampa and its surrounding areas.
