Question TC Hood

I'd love to eventually get one of these for my 87 5.0. Until recently I had never seen the underside of the hood to know that there was a channel that directed the air entering the scoops. So I present some questions.

What part of the TC engine does the channel send the air to? I'm assuming the intercooler as I know it is located in the rear/middle of the engine bay.

Would the hood still close over the 5.0l engine without modding?

If it wouldn't fit, is it easy to remove the excess material?

Thanks. Paul

yes it will fit fine with no problems after you remove the plastic ducting for the intercooler
