Question D/S or Trans. problem

Everytime my Trans. shifts it makes a clunk sound, Is it the D/S or Trans.? It was not doing it when I first bought the car. My dad has been pushing it pretty hard lately, Whenever he stops he likes to punch the gas just to try to make it spin the tires because its a 5.0 HO, Needless to say he does not drive my car anymore.

My old 5.0 MN12

i vote differential bushings...you can get new polyeurathane ones from SCP for 45 bucks... mine did this when i got it. i dealt with it till the recent pumpkin swap, and put the new bushings in, no clunk.

What about motor mounts? Or are the 5.0's that different of a design?

It wouldn't hurt to look at the tranny mount also.

It's not a 97 Sport, it just looks like one!
