O/D light

hello everyone,

My overdrive light it not a constant blink it blinks once every 10 seconds, sometimes it shuts off for a good 25 mins then starts to consistently blink again, i have replaced the whole trans twice, replace the neutral safety switch...i mean they could have damaged the wiring harness but i just want to get everyone's opinion on this.

PLEASE HELP ME OUT!

Thanks

Did you get the car scanned? If not, don't waste your time looking for answers that aren't there.

EDIT: Nevermind, I see you've been through this before...http://forums.tccoa.com/showthread.php?t=116435

My opinion is that until you get it scanned, you are wasting your time.

If the O/D light is blinking, the EEC is seeing some type of know problem and is storing the code for what it sees as said known problem. Without knowing what the computer thinks is bad, you’re just wasting your (and our) time.

Even if you have to take it to a dealership and pay $100, you will be way ahead of the game vs just throwing parts at it or asking people help with no usable information.

Get it scanned, post the codes here, and we will be more than happy to help out if we can. (I personally can’t because I don’t know jack about transmissions…) Until then, don’t expect anyone to have the ability to guess what might be wrong with your swapped transmission.
