random trans part?

Anyone know what this is? It was floating in the transmission pan of my 2003 mach1 with the 4r70w. The transmission has never been serviced as far as i know.

It plugs the hole where the dipstick goes before the trans is installed into a vehicle. On the line they just push it into the pan when they install the dipstick and tube.

It comes in handy when hauling and storing a trans too, the one from my 00 gt trans is back in the pan after I put it in the car.
