Aluminum drive shaft??

Went to the local yard to get some odds n ends from the 3 thunderbirds they have, and i had to walk across 4-5 mark 8's was wondering if the aluminum driveshaft would be a direct replacement for my 97 4.6?

only a 93 mark 8 has a solid alum drive shaft which is a direct replacement

Mods: ECU tuned by Clintd for 93 octane, J-mod and PI intake(PI heads soon).

Yes, but the preferred driveshaft is the 1993 Mark VIII that doesn't have the rubber vibration elimination joint near the rear joint.

I swapped the whole rear sub-frame from a Mark VIII into my Bird and saved over 50 lbs of weight; the LCA's and the pumpkin on the Mark VIII are aluminum.
