Is this a tranny cooler?

Okay so I have searched for diagrams and asked shop techs about this part, but I am still a little confused if I do indeed have a tranny cooler installed in my 94 XR7.

The only advice I had gotten was a tech telling me that he only knows tranny coolers look like a mini-radiator, but can be mounted in a variety of spots depending on the car.

On my car I found a small "mini-radiator" looking part that sits just in front of the actual coolant radiator. The part has piping that passes through the fins and goes back into the engine bay, but I can't follow it too far, I do see it goes down and behind the engine, possibly to the 4R70W tranny. A tranny cooler was on my list of upgrades when I got the car, but I am hoping I can write it off due to already being installed!

Probably too vague of a description to do anything with. Sounds more like the AC condenser than an added on cooler. From the factory it only has the fluid to fluid exchanger, the fluid goes into a cooler in the radiator that uses the coolant to cool it.

Does the radiator still have two metal lines running to it? The two brass fitting on the drivers side in this picture are the in radiator cooler:

Pics would be helpful for deciding what you're describing.

I totally agree with that, but I happen to be one who is terrible with the whole deal of an online photo site gallery to upload to and then set the picture file's URL to forum posts like other forums I am part of. (unless TCCoA uses a different and easier format)

I didn't think of a power steering cooler lol, I looked up pictures on Google and by Lord I'll be a monkey's uncle...thats it lol Thanks for the quick input guys, I was debating on possibly ordering a tranny cooler and just returning it if I already had one installed. Now...to actually buy one now or wait till I do the J-Mod, flush the tranny and replace the filter?
