2004 Freestar trans problem..

Hope someone can help, or give an idea.

Had the torque convertor replaced under a recall......after I got it back, it now has less power in 1st, shifts into second hard as hell, and reverse doesnt want to engage sometimes.

When pulling the valebody, what should I be looking for as far as parts going out?
Also, what tranny is in this thing?

Vehicle has the 4.2L motor.

Thanks guys.

Nick......................I'm back!!!
May you fly low and fast
rest in peace JL

On my Flex Forum they talk about them every once in a while. Nothing that would help.

It's a taurus AX4N. basically, they are known for being VERY self destructing, fluid eating, overheating pieces of tech.
