help! I gots ze problems

at about 30-40 under LIGHT throttle my car will shudder and the tach will quickly go up and down by about ~150 rpm quickly, more gas will get it past this. It doesn't do it all the time, it also does it regardless if the OD button is on or off so its not hunting.

I diligently keep my car flushed with mercon V and I have a B&M cooler. The car has also been j-modded for some time.

could it be a MLPS?

If you're feeling a shudder it sounds like the torque convertor to me.

It's not a 97 Sport, it just looks like one!

You need to check to see if the TCC is dropping in and out. Ride the brakes lightly, which should drop the TCC if your brake lights are working, and see if the problem goes away.

An intermittent TPS can also cause this - the PCM drops the TCC when it senses closed throttle.

If its still a mystery, its time to get the dealer's tranny tester on there to isolate the cause of the problem.
