Exhaust in the way of dropping crossmember...

well, the title says it. I tried installing a tranny mount today, but the exhaust is in the way of allowing me to...

1. Move the wrenches easily/freely.
2. Dropping the crossmember.

...now, I was thinking of dropping the exhaust, but is there any other way to get the tranny mount off the subframe without having to drop the exhaust? I tried working with the limited space with the exhaust/subframe in the way without any luck (Yep, I used TONS of penetration lube, too)... but is there another way?
