Harsh downshift

Is A-train still out there?

What could be causing a harsh downshift at 20-30 MPH? About once a week - it will have a prolonged shift - then 'boom' into gear. Only happens once in awhile. 94 CVPI with 185K. Not sure if original tranny or not. Upshifts are never a problem, only downshifts.

I replaced the 1-2 accumulator - didn't help.

4r70 tranny. I do have it in the tranny shop now- fluid pressure/shiftpoints are good. He's driving it trying to get it to happen to know for sure what it is. Without it happening he is not sure what it is. What do you think would cause this, OR, what would you replace.

Thanks, in advance!
