Pin connectors?

Hey guys I was just looking at some of your old posts about putting a newer 4r70w in a older model car. I recently found a low milage 2000 model auto for 450.00 bills complete . My question is how exactly do you change out the pins on the connector? Do you need special tools ?
I currently have a 96 Gt w/ a blown tranny and I would like to puchase this tranny if its no big deal to get the pins changed.

I did mine with a very small screwdriver- be careful though, the parts are small and could break. Gently push the screwdriver in until it wedges between the pin and the plastic part, then tug the wire out (gently!). Pinouts and other info are in my article in the WIP forum.
