Question rear output seal replacement

do you know if you have to pull the gas tank down to get the driveshaft out of the way to replace the rear output seal of the trans. When I replaced the trans. I knew it needed to come down but i didnt know if I had to pull it down or not. If I do I will just let it leak for a little while until I can get a lift.
thanks

undo the 4 DS bolts, then the 6 bolts that hold in the IRS, let the pumpkin droop and then youll be able to pull the DS back.

bingo. It also helps to drop the exhaust. You don't have to, but it sure as hell helps. I just recently replaced mine
