aod rebuild the nightmare continues

ok got another aod, we where going to put a transgo shift kit in but it wouldnt work becase of the 3-4 servo. so we called transgo and find out i have a pre 83 trans that i purchased. now what got a ruined valve body from the 80's trans and a destoyed primary pack and drum in the aod that was in the car. so what do i do now take the primary drum and put it into the original case i have and rebuild it? the only problem is the tranny that was in the car wasnt the original one so not sure what year it is and the rebuild kits change from 89-90. or do i just rebuild the 80's trans and use the valve body from the original trans. i am at wits end now any info or part numbers for both models would helpful so i can see what i can interchage. sorry this is so long

thanks
ryan

think i figured it out going to gut the older trans and put them into the newer case that came out of the car and use the valve body that came in it
