For those that have done the jmod

I haven't drilled the holes yet and before I do...

How hard does the mild mod make the shifts?

I would like firmer/quicker shifts but really do not want harsh.

You'll be happy with the mild.

If you don't want a harsh 1-2 upshift, leave the 1-2 bottom spring in, or replace it with the upgraded one.

Mine was too harsh without it.

Also, you can try it without it, as it is really easy to put it back in.

right, leave all the springs in it, and just put the updated stuff in it, and drill the plate.

Leave the reverse and od servo's alone, on a nearly stock car its not worth the pain they can be if you screw them up.

Great info. Exactly what i needed.

I wasn't going to put the bottom spring back in but will now. They didn't have one in town to replace with so I will just use the old one.

Hey rbrown i dont know if you read the article closely but dont put the old 2-3 spring back in if your replacing the 2-3 accum piston. Oh ya your gonna love the jmod. Nice shifts not to firm, i love it

Well i did it and so far so good.

The 1-2 spring was in 3 pieces and jammed into the old accum piston.

I put the spring in the 2-3 and it seems ok. The 1-2 only had one spring so I couldn't put the bottom spring back in. Doesn't seem to harsh.

Not what I planned this weekend but when 1-2 quit I felt I better get on it.
