Mark VIII swap possibility?

Found a complete Mark VIII at the local junkyard, and was wondering if it would be worth the hassle to grab anything from it? I didn't look at the mileage on it, and I believe it was a 98, but can't remember. When I go back I can check. Just thought this might be a good avenue for a tranny swap if it's decent. Any particular year worth grabbing, or are they all worth a look. May be a cheaper alternative to the TC swap, then all I would have to do is the J-Mod and I'd be set.

These are highly engineered precision vehicles, the first step in diagnosing the problem is to strike the suspected offending part sharply and repeatedly with a blunt object, then re-test.

Definately a good idea!!!! It may not have that many miles on that motor and if it is in a good running order, might be worth yanking. If it does have a lot of miles on it, but still is good, you could allways rebuild it, thats what im thinking of doing.........later on the road of course........
