Killing in Reverse???

OK, I took the bird out for a mid-winter stretch and noticed something odd.
Everytime you put the car in reverse it almost dies, I MEAN IT'S CLOSE, what do you think is the issue? It does kill if you put it in Reverse when the wheels are turned...Any ideas?

When was the last time you had a tune up done? I worked on my buds 3.8 Cougar recently that had this issue, and all it needed was plugs/wires, and clean the IAC. Just a thought.

These are highly engineered precision vehicles, the first step in diagnosing the problem is to strike the suspected offending part sharply and repeatedly with a blunt object, then re-test.

What FordMan said, and also, since your bird was sitting for a while, get some fresh gas and fuel treatments, change the fuel filter, and I would also swap plugs out. How's the air filter? All low cost and easy to do. Start there.
