DO i have AOD?

i've got a 3.8 NA (1993) auto. is this the AOD, and if so, then is it possible to incorporate Jerry's mods into it, or am i gonna have to swap trannies?

Yes, you have an AOD, no you don't do the mods.

The mods are for the 4r70w.

you can install a shift kit. i recommend a transgo.

can i just swap the AOD to a 4r70w? how difficult would that be?

yes you can, I'd recommend a 96-up from another 3.8
how difficult is it? I don't know

the swap will require either a eec that has provisions to control the trans, or a baumannator TCS.Baumann
the 4r70w is an electronically controlled trans, where the AOD is a hydraulically controlled unit.
I would recommend that you just get a trans-go shift kit and keep the AOD.

it'll make shifts quicker and thus decrease 1/4 time.

If it were me personally, I'd get a lentech street terminator valve body.
