It's Ford's name for a limited slip differential. GM uses Posi-Trac. Ford uses Trac-Lok (or Trac-Lock depending on who you ask).

The Ford Trac-Loc & GM Posi (short for Positive Traction) are both clutch type limited slip differentials.

Trac-Loc pic

Here's an exploded view of an IRS Trac-Loc. It's from my '89 shop manual.

I don't know if the link will be clickable or not. If it isn't, C&P it into the browser of your choice.
