A Mark VIII t/c is $150 i believe through either 5Star or Joe Cooper Ford, plus $50 for the needed flexplate. However someone was selling both for $50 in the forsale section...

What is the difference in stall, and is it worth it? Will I see noticable changes?

Thanks

Mark VIII TC:
minimum=2324 rpms
maximum=2737 rpms

Marauder TC:
Minumum stall speed=2,555 rpms
Maximum stall speed=3,011 rpms

Don't have the stock stall, but both are a decent upgrade.

Core Charge $ 50.00

F6AZ-6441-AA Torque Converter Nuts $ 1.05 (list price)
Those are the list prices from Dan Newman . Things are cheaper if you are a TCCoA member. I am not sure if Mr. Reinhart is selling new converters, or if they are takeouts from the Marauders he works on.

One more question......I got my prices 258.00 total......Does anyone have an idea of how much this TC would cost approx to have installed? ANy help would be appreciated...

Or if anyone has done this themselves and are within 3 or so hours to Boston, I will pay them for the install.

LMK Thank You

You'd be surprised how easy it is to do yourself. I did my first converter in an MN12 in under 2 hours.

Question

Does the Maurader flexplate have 6 or 8 bolts? I just J-Moded a 99 mustang tranny to replace mine and I had to re-use my torque converter which turns out to be bad. Would've been nice to know something else would have allowed me to use the mustang torque converter.
