Bump in the road #$%$%

Went to install my new trans today with some other local tbird guys. We finished the pinout change, flushed the lines and installed the trans mount and VSS. Just as we were getting ready to lift it with the trans jack Rob says "hey have you pulled the converter and drained it" I said no but good idea. here is what we found.....back to greenleaf it goes

OUCH! That's not freakin' good! Is that a crack in the bell housing also? Too bad Tim, keep us posted on what goes on.

It looks like it is just a casting mark darkened by the trans fluid. Greenleaf should step up to the plate for him. He has given them and sent them plenty of business.

Took a close look at the bellhousing and yep it is cracked. JL and I think someone probably hit the converter with a pallet jack to get the stator support to break and that forced it up into the case causing the crack
