Need help! Possible transmission problem

This is odd. Two days ago i had a blown hose and left the car in a parking lot. I came back today and replaced it. Car ran fine for like 200m. Then the car felt like crap. it felt like the transmission was not shifting up, felt like it was stuck in first. it was stalling and i could not get it going faster than 20mph, and like 2000-3000rpm. The engine was stalling I checked the transmission fluid it was right at the bottom of the crosshatched line. Checked the distributer and found some coolant in it from the blown hose, and the terminals looked dirty and i scraped them clean. The car then ran fine with toped off trans fluid and cleaner distributer terminals.

But would a low level, just at the bottom of the crosshatched area really case this to happen?

Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong?

It can, thats how I messed up my tranny, I was lucky enough that it got me home, the funny thing is when I opened my tranny I found a piece of metal in the valve body too, dont know if it had to do with that though.
