few things about gears

1. will mustang 8.8 ring and pinion fit in a irs traction lok rear

2. what do you think will be the best ratio for my car i do between 15-20k miles a year of mixed driving 3.55 or 3.73

what will the engine spin at with 3.73 gears at 75-80mph now i think its about 2200rpm

what is your gear ratio now?

new RPM = 3.73 / old ratio * 2200

no clue what it is now

one more thing the splines on the pinion are the same for all 8.8 rears

Mine spins 2500 at 75mph with the 3.73s.

Don't fear the gear. Get the bigger step up if you're going to spend the money to change em. Thats a lot of money for little gain if you went with something like 3.55s over 3.27s...
