in my 96 tranny i found this....



this is what shock me when i do the jmod to my car. in my door jamb code my car's built date is 2/96.

so anyone have early 96 try to swap the accumulator out asap.

My daily job is to fry rice for my customers....

You'll find those pieces in just about all of them. Mine had them, supposed they were updated in the late 97 model year.

mine had the same stuff too. except i had the updated 1-2 piston. i'm not sure of the build date on my 97, i never looked. They started using some of the updated stuff late in 97.

Frank,

I think yours was updated along the way. Ford had a TSB out on changing the pistons. I think when the pan was dropped for a fluid change, they changed it because it was easy to do without dropping the valve body.
