tranny jack points?

Well, I'm going to install my Mark VIII TC this week. Have gathered all the advice from everyone who's done it. However, I'm still unclear as to where are the jack points on the transmission. I have a transmission adapter (from Harbor Freight) fitted on my hydraulic jack. Should I remove the transmission oil pan and place the jack where the pan normally bolts up to? Or is there a sturdier place to support the transmission. Thank you for your advice and sorry if the answer should be obvious. Just want to make sure I don't end up bending any part of my tranny.
