Raybestos Blur Plate special. Should I use them in my tranny?

What are the benefits of using a better clutch material over stock stuff? Would I be hurting anything if I use Raybestos Blue Plate special clutches on a daily driven car? Also can you use Kolene coated steels with the blue clutches? I thought it was better to use reg steels with the blue clutches but I'm not sure. Any help you guys could give me would be great.

Thanks,
Brandon

You can use them, but its not really necessary. I'm assuming this is for your 95 5.0 AODE, so here's what you really need to build it up strong:
Mechanical diode intermediate one-way clutch/reverse drum
4 plate intermediate clutch (requires new pressure plate)
spiral lock retainer rings for the MD OWC (from www.bulkpart.com)

Use the OD 101 tranny article as a guide to building your tranny.
