Aod Question

How can I remove the front pump out of an AOD, I seen in the shop manual to use slide hammers but they wont fit the thredding at all. thx

two of the holes where the pump bolts go have threads on them. I know on 4.6 engines the bellhousing bolts fit them, and you can slowly use them to back the pump out. Don't know if 3.8's use the same size or not.
