Mustand AOD to T-bird

Would an AOD from a mustang 5.0 fit a 3.8 t-bird?

yes, but you will have to swap the shifter linkages.

the part on the transmission that the shifter cable attaches to. It is different on a mustang.

Yes, the only thing you gotta change is the linkage, and it is a direct bolt on.

Be sure to get the compression pin out when your swaping the linkage.....we didnt and now the old tranny from the bird is in need of more repair......Go with the mustang AOD it is just as good.

Actually an SC trans is better. It has the A servo, where as the Mustang trans only has a B servo, like ours come from the factory with.
