Differences In Trannys....

Were all the A.O.D.s the same throught 89-93?? Like, were there differences between a 5.0, 3.8 N/A, 3.8 S/C. What about Mustang A.O.D.s. Those any different??

Yes they are the same tranny meaning:

They are all the same bolt patter
They all have 2 bolt starter
They all have some form of TV linkage (differeant brakets and different levers)
They all are the same gear ratio

2 different tail shafts with 6 differnet bushings styles
2 different length output shaft versions
2 different output shaft gear ratios for speedo
MANY different clutch stacks
Improved VB control for each year
Improved lubrication through the years
Different OD servo given application.
many more....

Off hand I would say the BEST AOD is the ones out of the F150's and the SC's hands down. Often Mustang stuff is good too, but small servo.
