Gear question

I have 3.27 gears in my car now which has 11 pinion teeth can I just change my ring gear from a new one to change my ratio.

3.27 36 ring teeth 11 pinion teeth
3.73 41 ring teeth 11 pinion teeth

I would think this would make it soooo much easier to do gear job.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO----they are a matched pair----I would not even recommend you change one 3.27 ring with another 3.27 ring-----Dan

Freaky if you clean out your pm box maybe you will get some replys. No you cannot use the gears that you asked this question about.

nO......
each gear has it's own mesh teeth. Every part of the system is different from ratio to ratio. The pitch, depth....everything. It isn't like a chain a sprocket on your bike.
