Fear trans damage?

4R70W roughy 100k on the ticker... was jmodded 18months ago? have kept mercV in it since then as well as aux plate cooler... has had leak from lower rad connection to aux cooler. i fixed that problem by bypassing rad and running straight aux cooler for now
a week ago saturday.. i started car up to leave work..
backed out of spot, drove forward roughly 20 feet, made right to go up 30deg incline to leave parking lot
top of incline she doesn't move when i let of brake.. hmm.. fluid must be low..figure i'll check all connections and make sure no leaks (2nd nite of cooler weather in the area i think)
give it a little gas and she moves.. go roughly 1 - 2/10 of mi and let off gas to slow down since comin up to stopsign... guy in front of me speeds up so i depress gas a bit to keep moving at speed a little longer.. no go.. hmm.. feels like it slipped into neutral.. wtf? i pop lever into N.. and back into D.. nothing.. i pop back in N, and come to stop 3 cars back from sign...
pull cell and call g/f.. tell her to get up and get the 2 qts of Merc 5, my funnel and get ready to meet me.. at that time.. i smell burning trans fluid.. ick.. wtf.. i realize guy in front of me moved.. ok, slip back into D.. no move.. F*CK.. pop back into N, jump out and push her to side of road, tell girl to bring Jack, and my Emergency tool kit.
get to side of road 10sec later, kill engine.. i look back in road.. small puddle of Merc 5.. maybe 1/4 qt..
girl shows up 15min later after buddy of mine stops and we lookin for the leak.. i jack car up (in cold *** grass mind you) and give buddy light while i start car.. instantly hear him yell to cut it, since we found the problem.
anyway.. redid the clamps on the aux cooler (time to get braided i think ) and added 2nd clamp.. added the 2qts of Merc V and started her up... no leaks.. yay... popped into R.. slight delay until engagement.. great.. N.. fine.. D, slightly longer delay.. checked again.. no leaks.. pull into road.. requires slightly more gas than normal.. like running a 2200 TC that STALLS until RPM hits 2200.. heheh.. hit 1600 and she kicks into gear and starts moving.. decide to use lever most of way home so i disengage O/D...
get to stop sign in 1st.. takes a bit of gas but she gets going.. hit 3k, and shift to 2nd... 2nd is ok... hit 3k again after some slight effort (trying to be gentle) and shift to D.. she slips to N, back back to D if i gentle on throttle.. F***.. speed climbs to 55 and for S&G i hit o/d button.. RPM goes up a bit as if to shift.. but no shift.. i disengage o/d and let of gas.. she shifts back to 2nd.. and i accel again to 3rd.. drive for 7min like that...
get home.. pissed.. naturally.. go to store in morning in borrowed car.. bought 4 qts of merc V... double checked all clamps, filler her up, took her for test drive.. is fine now... i think
it could be me.. it could be cold weather.. but it sounds a bit more whiny in 1st and 2nd when i get on it (SCT Tune.. can't help it).
checked "fluid" track next day.. HOLY SHYT puddle at spot, and a 2" wide trail that you can still see TODAY the entire way until i first let off gas on the back road... and you see the little puddle and trail when i pushed it off road
any potential damage? i have a magnefine inline filter after the aux cooler, do you think i need to replace it and the cooler, or just wait until i get a new trans? it was on maybe 4min max until i first turned it off.. and weather was 51deg out? no humidity.. slight breeze.. 1st & 2nd ran fine.. 3rd was a lil ***** cuz of low fluid.. just seems odd to me now
