conveter q's

I have a 96 bird 4.6 what coverter will work with my stock flexplate. mark 8 marauder or gt.I want to buy a new converter but don't want to have to change the flexplate. wich parts do i need to make one of these work. what year converter do i need from these cars.

An explorer or 4.2 truck converter will work with your stock flexplate and be a slight improvement. I suggest changing the flexplate and using the much better smaller converter.
