Am I going to burn up my tranny?

I am running a C6 with my combo.
Do I need to run a kickdown cable/rod on my setup.
So far its been okay, it shifts really fast at the start, but when I want it to down shift, I manualy shift it.
Is what I'm doing going to hurt my tranny in any way?

Also, isn't the kickdown just for letting be able to go into passing gear when you wanna get up to speed?

Thanks

I have had several cars without the kickdown cable hooked up. Never had a problem before.

Other people on other boards have said the same thing as you.

Anyone else have any idea.

I think I'm just going to leave it off for now.

Thanks

The c6 kickdown rod shouldn't burn the trans up, however it will work better if you install it. the modulator controls everything but kickdown.
