Want my pumpkin built, who to trust?

Ok, I am at ends, I asked on local boards, I want to get my pumpkin built by someone that has the tools and the know how, not a punk that needs to read a manual.

I am picking up the trak-loc next week and got new bearings and rebuilt kit on order.

I got a bare iron pumpkin, a bucket full of bolts, old bearings/races, and, a set of used frpp 3.73's.

So, its all bare parts, which makes me even more worried...

Any advice on who or what to look for?

I have a friend that says he knows a guy, but, I'd rather pay someone that knows whats going on...

Oh, and the kicker is, the car won't be on the road til next summer so, I won't be able to test it/break it in 'til then

I doubt Teeps will be willing to use old bearings and races, I know I won't.

I think he has everything new (or on order), but just wants someone that knows what they are doing. (But just a guess).

I'm keeping a close eye on this as I'm in the same boat, with all the new parts on hand. Just looking for someone to send it to.

There's a guy here in Parsons who comes highly recommended by the local drag racers. Iplan to have him build my 3.55 as soon as I get the parts and funds together. I asked him a while ago, and he said labor to rebuild it was 175-200. That didn't include parts of course. I can ask him if he's willing to accept the responsibility of doing the shipping.

Yeah I got all new parts for the unit. The only things that are used are the pumpkin itself, the trak-lok(the owner said the bearings where new last summer but I am still replacing them), and the gears.

So all bearings, clutches, s spring will be all new.

I have been doing them for a while now and I know teeps does them. Other than that I don't know who to suggest. I know a few people I wouldn't suggest. Put it this way if they tell you it is ok to use an impact to crush the sleeve avoid them.

How much do you charge to do them and would you be willing? I should have all the parts that need to be supplied here within 2 weeks, the t-lok I have to pick up from the guy next sunday as he is out of town.

Whats the average cost in labor? I am in no hurry to get it done, but, I am starting at the back of the car and working forward...

I can vouch for Dirtyd0g. He just assembled an aluminium diff with 3.73s and a true-trak for me.

I have been talking with dirtyd0g via PM.

I have to wait until I get all the parts in hand first before I can say yay or nay. Always gotta get the parts before you say you are going to do something

When I had mine done, I spoke with Teeps first, but he had quite a backlog he was working through at the time. You'll of course have to ask him yourself to find out, but I believe he also said something about maybe not doing too many more after his current run. Citing things like new kids and life as reasons. Once again, you'd have to ask him to be certain.

I got lucky and have a guy that I now trust that does nothing but rear ends and is just a few miles from my house. And he's very reasonable with price.
He did my 3.73 upgrade and also put a new pinion seal in my wife's axle'd Expedition.
