9" rear end

i am wanting to put a shortened 9 " rear in in my 1989 ford thunderbird can this be done if so how much fabrication do i need to do

It will require a complete back halve of the car.

Look to spend in the ball park of $5000.

Why are you wanting to put a 9" in?
I'm assuming your wanting to run in the 1/4(faster than 10's), but not have to worry about the IRS breaking on you.

Whats your 1320' goal?

dont know yet want to do it before i drop in a 5.0 that has almost 700 horsepower

If you can get the 5.0 to make 700hp the rearend should be the least of your worries.

i already have the motor had it in my drag racing mustang before i blew a rear tire and wrecked so i tore the engine out and junked the body

it came form jegs and so did all the aftermarket parts for it
