Im looking to get more go out of the bird, so i figured beefing up the rear end with a trac-lok and some 4.10's. Im looking for any recomendations on what to get as far as a brand gears and a diffferential . Id still like to leave the stock pumpkin, but ill take any suggestions. Thanks, John

i like the diff in my car with the 3.27's but i might go to a 3.55 later,if i could i'd get an alluminum pumpkin from a mk8 with 3.55's and trak-lok i think that'd be a pretty decent setup.

I just bought a frpp pumpkin when i upgraded mine but I dont think theyre available anymore. I wish I would have gone with 4.10s though. So what youre planning is a good idea. But i would definitely find a mark viii pumpkin. Theyre aluminum. And if you get one you can have it built and then install it. No down time.

For a daily driver, I would go with 3.73s FRPP gears and a Ford traction-lok.

For a weekend toy, nothing beats 4.10s and a gear-type differential such as a Detroit Truetrac.

Look on Summit for a 28 spline Ford 8.8 Traction-lok.
